Annual Thanksgiving Drive
Give Thanks with Pride & Dignity! There are different types of families in need. Some do not qualify for assistance. Working parents struggling to survive are in every zip code. Once the bills are paid there's no money left for food. Thank god for pantries & soup kitchens!
This year, let's give 50 families the chance to prepare dinner together in the comfort of their own homes. |

“My Story-” interview preparation tailored just for you!
|
Every student has a different life story; therefore, our program invests dedicated time with each applicant to customize a pre-employment interview strategy based on the job seekers life plan, experience, skill sets and level of comfort ability.
“My Story” alleviates the stress by providing dedicated mock interview practice for each student in a comfortable informal setting. Our program strengthens employ-ability levels for job seekers as well as bridges the gap that stands between the traditional job readiness program and hiring managers in today’s workforce. If you'd like to work on your interview skills, this workshop is for you! Sign up today! Individuals and Schools encouraged to inquire.... |

In collaboration with FDNY, Citizens Preparedness Corp, & Red Cross, we will continuously train all year round. Contact us to schedule a workshop for your family, complex, congregation or workplace. THL & NYPD Bring Christmas Joy to 9 year old boy recovering from car accident @ Brooklyn Scholars Charter School!
It is with heartfelt appreciation that I say Thank You for the special event you hosted on Wednesday. It warmed my heart to see Nasir and the scholars so happy and enjoying their special time with you and your colleagues. Thank you so much for the gifts and act of kindness that will always be remembered. Best wishes to you and yours for a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with love, health and happiness. - Principal Kirton, 12/20/17
9 year old Nasir was struck by a car after school. This tragedy took place as they were on their way home from school. Nasir was hospitalized, underwent recovery and returned to school in January 2018.
This ordeal took a devastating toll on his mom, his big sister who was with him at the time of the incident as well as their family and classmates. THL and NYPD joined together with the collaboration of Nasir’s Mom and Principal to surprise the 9 year old with a Christmas surprise. Nasir was brought to his classroom for a visit not knowing that he would soon be surprised with Santa, gifts, pizza and ice cream party for all! The children participated in conversation about the importance of gratitude as well as compassion. We were honored to be in the presence of such an amazing group! Kudos to Brooklyn Scholars Charter School! |

Holiday Dinner @ Hospice Center
We visited MJHS hospice center to provide meals, comfort, and support to grieving families. It is times like these when time stands still and you are filled with so much heartbreak that you cannot breathe. You scramble to re-adjust your life in order to dedicate every precious second to your beloved. We will rise to let you know that you are not alone! We met this goal and sponsored a holiday dinner for patients, their family and their amazing caregivers. Thanks to you, we gave the gift of love. 12/14/17 From MJHS Health System: Thank you so very much for your generosity. We are so grateful (and our bellies were so wonderfully full). Here’s to a great 2018! |

Hurricane Maria-Puerto Rico Drive: Presented by The Hannah Legacy & Assembly of God Spanish Eastern District Church!
Billions have vacationed in Puerto Rico, enjoying their tropical island, sandy beaches and exquisite culture. This island was dealt a devastating blow by mother nature and now needs your help. Recovery & Relief efforts on the ground are stalled for many reasons. We will rise and mobilize to help those in need. Our goal is to ensure all funds and goods raised goes directly to families in need. Therefore, we have partnered with "Light Of The World Missions Outreach, Spanish Eastern District". This group of pastors are on the ground in Puerto Rico giving directly to families in need. We are happy to report from our Pastor's on the ground, that our donations were put in the hands of survivors. There is so much more to be done. Puerto Rico will continue to remain in our prayers.... |
